Dave and I didn’t meet Celia until the day of the wedding but when we did, we felt like we already knew her. We had talked to her on the phone several times, answered a questionnaire, and read and revised our ceremony script a few times. Celia wove our love story, our disparate traditions (Celtic, Hawaiian, Native American), and our personalities into a 20 minute ceremony that our guests couldn’t stop talking about. Celia’s beautiful ceremony convinced our fairly religious families that a wedding that didn’t take place in a church with a priest could still be as meaningful–if not even more special.
